We have a need in our company to resolve requests for local equipment, servers, etc that the general public has no need to access.
We can accomplish what we want using the 'view' statement in Bind.
Is there a way to accomplish this using SimpleDNS?

Yes - by running two instances - one to serve local requests and one to server requests from the Internet.
You can do this using a single computer - see http://www.simpledns.com/kb.aspx?kbid=1268

We considered this, but it will not work for our organization. Too many systemic changes to make. Not to mention requiring us to buy 2 additional licenses.
